Kristin Berkinsky co-founded North Star after more than 30 years as a C-suite HR leader in global, sponsor-backed and large-cap organizations. Kristin has extensive expertise designing and implementing HRIS and related HR functional solutions, and in using HR data to produce evidence-based insights that drive strategy and operating decisions. Kristin is AI-forward, integrating the technology in her practice and advising clients deploying AI solutions within their workforce. Kristin has served as the human capital lead on multiple M&A transformations across more than 40 countries. Kristin has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and life sciences, technology, energy, business services and financial services industries.
Sarah Le Roy co-founded North Star following more than 30 years as an executive leader in public companies, private equity-owned businesses and founder-led organizations. As a seasoned C-suite executive, she collaborates with sponsors, portfolio company executives and boards to lead M&A transaction-driven transformations through restructuring, integration and/or separation. Sarah has deep, direct experience building human capital strategy, stabilizing operations and delivering value, often under compressed deal timelines. She leads transformations with a focus on achieving deal team objectives and aligning stakeholders across workstreams. Her C-suite portfolio has included legal, Investor relations & communications, and facilities alongside human resources, and among many transactions, she led a carve-out spanning 43 countries. Sarah has extensive experience in the technology, energy/oil and gas, life sciences/healthcare and financial services industries.
